Etsyl Sparkman photo collection continued...
| This is a series of ten pictures taken of Manila shortly after its
liberation in March of 1945. These photos are in the order in which they
were taken, with the exception of the 5th (old Spanish church). The 2nd
photo was taken because of the amazement that it was the only building
left standing in its district. (Note: Manila #6 is
worth exploring)

| Etsyl Sparkman identified the Hotel Great Eastern on the right as General MacArthur's personal quarters. It was here where Gen. MacArthur set up himself, his family (wife & son) & HQ staff after entering Manila. |
