| The mailing address off an envelope postmarked March 7, 1944 (containing a letter dated February 22). This APO adress for the 9th was written on the backs of several photos. |
| This Dobodura picture may be with a 49th Fighter Group P-38, but not the 9th FS. It was simply the first plane Cpl. Sparkman could find to have his picture taken with Duane Bills, who he chanced to meet driving a truck at Dobodura. They had lived a half block from each other in Springfield, MO. |
